At Esusu Identity Services (EIS), powered by Celeri, we are always looking for ways to make life easier for property managers. Fraud is a growing problem in multifamily housing, but many operators are hesitant to add yet another standalone tool outside of their core property management system.
With our Entrata integration, properties that use Entrata can now leverage Esusu Identity Services’ AI-powered fraud detection and income verification seamlessly alongside Entrata’s application and tenant screening workflows. This coupling streamlines the screening process, empowers property managers to make more informed decisions, and helps teams save time while mitigating fraud risk.
Esusu Identity Services was formerly known as Celeri, which Esusu acquired in 2025 to strengthen its identity, income, and fraud infrastructure for housing.
How the Entrata integration works
1. Document collection within your existing workflow
Prospective renters complete their applications through Entrata, just as they do today. After submitting an application, prospects receive an email from Esusu Identity Services with a secure, customized link where they can upload their proof of income documents.
Because this flow is tied directly to the Entrata application, leasing teams do not need to manage a separate, manual document collection process.
2. AI-powered fraud and quality analysis
Esusu Identity Services’ document upload portal is configured to enforce each property’s specific requirements. It can require, for example:
- A minimum number of bank statements or pay stubs;
- Original PDF statements instead of screenshots, photos, or low-fidelity scans;
- Documents that match the applicant’s name and stated employer.
When applicants submit their documents, our detection engine analyzes them in seconds for signs of tampering, fabrication, and other forms of fraud, helping property managers catch bad actors before they turn into costly move-ins.
3. Results pushed back into Entrata
Once the analysis is complete, leasing teams receive email notifications so they can review the findings promptly. The results of the document analysis are also pushed back into Entrata, so fraud signals and income insights appear alongside the existing application workflow.
Leasing teams can stay inside the tools they already use while still benefiting from a more rigorous and consistent fraud review.
Benefits of using Esusu Identity Services alongside Entrata
Our integration with Entrata offers several key benefits for operators and onsite teams.
More comprehensive screening
Traditional out-of-the-box screening methods such as credit, background, and eviction history checks are no longer enough. Document fraud has become more sophisticated, and a single fraudulent move-in can lead to thousands of dollars in lost rent, legal fees, and eviction costs.
By adding Esusu Identity Services on top of Entrata:
- Operators can go beyond basic bureau data to verify the authenticity of income documentation;
- Teams can detect edited or falsified documents that might otherwise pass a manual review;
- Fraud risks are surfaced earlier in the funnel, before units are taken off the market for a fraudulent applicant.
This helps protect both communities and honest applicants by creating a more accurate view of risk.
Greater operational efficiency
Without Esusu Identity Services, even collecting the right documents can consume a significant amount of leasing teams’ time. Applicants may:
- Upload an insufficient number of statements;
- Provide screenshots from mobile apps or photos of paper statements;
- Submit documents that do not meet the property’s stated guidelines.
This leads to extra review cycles and back-and-forth with applicants, slowing down leasing velocity and creating inconsistent standards from one leasing associate to another.
With Esusu Identity Services:
- The document upload portal is configured to match the property’s specific requirements, helping ensure the right documents are collected the first time;
- Low-fidelity documents can be automatically gated from being submitted at all, with clear instructions to applicants on how to download and upload acceptable versions;
- Leasing teams spend less time chasing paperwork and more time focusing on qualified renters.
Streamlined income verification and faster decisions
Property managers typically spend 20-30 minutes per application reviewing income documents. When they suspect fraud, they may feel pressure to either:
- Deny or confront an applicant based only on a hunch, or;
- Spend hours or days trying to independently verify employment and income.
Esusu Identity Services helps change that dynamic:
- Income documents are analyzed in seconds, giving teams an objective fraud signal alongside the applicant’s stated income;
- Leasing teams can quickly see whether documents appear authentic and whether the applicant meets income requirements;
- Decisions become more consistent and auditable, which is especially important for larger portfolios and compliance-sensitive operators.
The result is a faster, more confident leasing process that protects NOI without overburdening onsite staff.
Built to fit into your broader tech stack
The Entrata integration is part of Esusu’s broader effort to make Esusu Identity Services available across the major property management systems, so operators can:
- Standardize how they verify income and identity;
- Maintain a single fraud prevention strategy across multiple PMS environments;
- Avoid fragmented tools and workflows that are hard to manage at scale.
Whether your portfolio is entirely on Entrata or split across multiple systems, EIS is designed to plug into your existing tech stack.
